Just in : President Trump Terminates Chris Krebs

 President of America, Donald Trump terminates the appointment of the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Chris Krebs.

Trump made that statement via his Twitter account @Donald J. Trump in the early hours of today.

Chris has been accused by Trump for "massive improprieties and election fraud, including dead people voting." 

In his tweets which he listed out what he sensed were Chris Inadequacies, Trump further states "voted from Trump to Biden, late voting and many more. Therefore, effective immediately, Chris Krebs as been terminated as Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency."

Below are screenshots of his tweets which the Twitter company tagged that the claims about the election fraud is disputed.

UAE approves 10Years golden Visa to PHD holders

 

UAE has approved a decision to grant the 10-year golden visa to people with certain qualifications, which includes PhD holders, physicians, engineers, among others.

Others that will benefit from the golden visa include graduates from UAE-accredited universities with 3.8 GPA and above.

The Vice President and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made the statement on Sunday via his Twitter account. 

Also benefitting from the golden visa are those with specialised degrees in artificial intelligence, big data, or epidemiology and virology. He mentioned that the UAE high school graduates who perform exceptionally well will also be granted this visa alongside their families.

“Brothers and sisters, we approved today a decision to grant the 10-year golden visa to residents in the following categories: all PHD holders, all physicians, engineers in the fields of computer engineering, electronics, programming, electricity and biotechnology, graduates from UAE accredited universities who scored Grade Point Average, GPA, of 3.8 and above.”

Lives lost as driver drives into pedestrian bridge

 One person reported dead after a vehicle climbed a pedestrian bridge at the Shogunle on Sunday.

Eye witnesses gave accounts of what they suspected happened. Many believed the driver must have been drunk for approaching the pedestrian bridge instead of plying the normal road. 

The incident which happened around 12am, surprised passerbys who found that occurrence rather strange. "I heard a loud sound immediately I drove past that area and I thought it was a train moving on the rail which is also near the pedestrian bridge but I looked back and discovered it was a car that rammed into the bridge and it continued to be in motion until it flipped." A witness stated. 

A video of the incident posted online via Instablog9ja, showed residents making  efforts to rescue the victims.

Trump Fires Defense Secretary With Immediate Effect

Trump announces the dismissal of Defense Secretary with immediate effect via his Twitter account on Monday.

"Mark Esper has been terminated, I would like to thank him for his service." Trump tweeted.

Esper who is a veteran army has been in good terms with President trump on major foreign issues but has been recently on different views with him on issues to draw the military into partisan politics. 

Mark will be the fourth Pentagon chief to be sacked by the President. 

Trump however replaces Esper with Christopher Miller, a senior intelligence official, head of the National counterterrorism centre. Christopher would immediately become acting defense secretary.

Trump further tweeted "Chris will do a great job."

Family Disagrees as Six Nigerians Jailed in UAE for funding Boko Haram

 The Abu Dhabi federal court of appeal sentenced Saleh Adamu and Surajo Muhammed to life imprisonment while Muhammad Ibrahim, AbdurRahman Ado Musa, Bashir Ali and Ibrahim Ali were each sentenced to 10 years in prison all followed by deportation in April 2019.

This occurred after they were found guilty of setting a cell in the UAE to raise funds and material assistance for Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria. They were reported to have transferred a whooping sum of $800,000 in favour of the insurgents between the year 2015 and 2016.

However, their family mentioned that the convicts were involved in a legitimate bureau de change business here in Nigeria and UAE while other relatives stated to Daily Trust that the men "were most likely deceived in the course of their routine bureau de change transactions to the extent  that some of the transactions they facilitated turned out to be for proceeds meant for Boko Haram activities."  

"It was gathered that one of the Boko Haram couriers, Alhaji Sa'idu, would arrange an unidentified or vaguely identified Arab person on a visit to Dubai from Turkey to hand over an amount of  money in US Dollars to one of the convicts who would, in turn, advise his Nigerian-based business partners to hand over the Naira equivalent of the amount to him (Alhaji Sa'idu)."

A source reported to have state that Alhaji Sa'idu only used the gullibility of the victims to achieve his aim as the victims were innocent people who were about their daily business.

Fire Guts Buildings In Ebute-Metta

 

Several buildings have been destroyed by fire at Oko Oba, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. 

The strange thing is that the same incident occurred at the exact time and date last year.

A resident of Oko Oba neighborhood, close to the third-mainland bridge stated that the portion of land behind them was taken by developers around when the same incident occurred last year, leaving many residents of that area homeless. 

He further mentioned that he believes developers would try to take a hold of this situation to possess the affected area which won't be accepted by the residents of the area this time.

It was reported that at around 6:30pm on Sunday, a sudden loud noise of explosion was heard by nearby residents as many stated it happened as a result of light sparks while others said the fire started from a gas explosion from one of the shanty houses when a girl was cooking.

Jonathan for 2023 Presidency

It is reported that there is a plan by the Northern power brokers to put in former President Ebele Goodluck Johnathan to the 2023 PDP presidential race. Although, this step is considered as a plan  by the North to remain in power after the regime of President Buhari.

However,  many consider this as a healthy move while others, especially Nigeria youths view it as a plot by the old cabals to continue circulating the position just to remain in power. A step they consider as impossible.

While these are being considered, it is mentioned that there are outlined conditions to be met before the former president accepts the offer.

Regarding this issue, Jonathan's kinsmen were divided by the idea, suggesting plans which could make it possible. others considered it a needless project.
