The General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, Adeigbe Olushola, and three others have been sacked by the Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode following the Lekki building collapse that killed 35 people last week.
Ambode also approved the removal
of the Zonal District Officer in the agency, Dosunmu Gbadebo; the Head of Inspection and Quality Control in the agency, Adeoye Adeyemi; while the Zonal Head of Eti-Osa West of the agency, Mrs. Akinde Sherifat, was compulsorily retired from the civil service.
The above mentioned action by the Governor, Mr Ambode, is said to have occurred due to the careless act caused by the sacked officers.
