Popular Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince Zamani has opened up on why he featured his girlfriend in his latest music video despite heartbreaking story of infidelity.
The singer featured his girlfriend, Maima Nkewa in his new video “Feelings” despite widespread rumors that she cheated on him.
Ice prince, who has at several times debunked the rumors, claimed he had to stand up for his girlfriend and that he knew the rumors were untrue.
According to Ice Prince, “People were trying to paint a bad picture of her and I didn’t like that, I knew what the truth was. I didn’t have to bring my proof to the world, but I knew what the truth was. So I had to defend her of course. The truth had to be told, if you know the truth say it. If I have her back behind doors, then I should have her back in public.”
On putting her in his video, the rapper said, ”I followed the step of my mentors, the beautiful Annie Idibia was in her boyfriend’s video, long before they married. I admire and look up to such people, they inspire me and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.”
Iceprince recently launched his new label SuperCoolCats which he claimed is an imprint under Chocolate City Records.
